Post-Doctoral Research Position at AIMS Center

 

The Adaptive, Intelligent, Materials & Systems (AIMS) Center at Arizona State University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position to work under the supervision of Regents’ Professor Aditi Chattopadhyay, director of the AIMS Center. A Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related area is required. Individuals with strong academic background and evidence of scholarly research are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have a strong background in computational mechanics and have expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Multiscale/multiphysics modeling preference of composites or nanocomposites
  • Machine learning algorithms for mechanics applications
  • Molecular dynamics simulations
  • Nonlinear finite element analysis

Preference will be given to candidates with laboratory and multidisciplinary experience. Appointments are for one year, renewable annually based on performance and available funding. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
